Vodafone has appointed Ruth McGill as chief HR officer and a member of the group executive committee, starting 1st January 2026.
McGill has over 25 years’ experience in HR and change management.
She joins from ING, where she spent the last five years as chief HR officer.
Before that, she held senior HR roles at Standard Chartered Bank over a 10-year period.
McGill will first join as chief HR officer designate on 1st November 2025.
She takes over from Leanne Wood, who is stepping down.
McGill said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Vodafone at such an exciting time in the Group’s growth journey.
“I am looking forward to working with Margherita and the team as Vodafone continues to focus on driving customer satisfaction, simplify the organisation and deliver sustainable growth.”
