Alliance Automotive Group UK & Ireland hosted a group of 14 to 16-year-old students from Billing Brook School for a workplace visit at its Milton Keynes head office.

The visit was designed to give pupils insight into the automotive industry and introduce them to a range of careers within the business.

Billing Brook School supports students with complex needs, including significant learning difficulties and autism spectrum disorder. The day included an icebreaker, a business presentation and a game of ‘Guess the Car Parts’, before staff from across the company spoke about their own roles and career paths.

Speakers included Chris Banks, field sales manager; Beth Mason, communications coordinator; Haidee Finnis, marketing executive; Glen Warren, customer services key accounts manager; and Dawn Williams, HR projects and acquisitions manager.

Dan Cammish, key accounts manager and British Touring Car Championship driver, joined the session in the afternoon to speak about balancing his role with racing commitments at NAPA Racing UK. Students also had the chance to see one of the brand’s sales cars up close.

Kelsey Kerr, learning and development manager at Alliance Automotive Group, said: “The work placement day with Billing Brook School was truly inspiring.

“It was wonderful to see the students engage so enthusiastically and showcase their creativity and potential. We’re proud to support their development and help spark their future career ambitions.”
