Co-op Legal Services is launching three new tuition-free solicitor apprenticeships in Medical Negligence, Personal Injury, and Family Law.
Candidates can earn a salary starting from £24,000 while they train.
This initiative aims to provide an alternative route into the legal field and could save students thousands in university tuition fees, easing their financial burden.
The Level 7 solicitor apprenticeships require candidates to have achieved 128 UCAS Points and 5 GCSEs 9 to 4 (A* to C), including Maths and English.
The training will take place over six years at Co-op Legal Services’ Manchester office.
Upon completion, apprentices will qualify as solicitors.
Jen Goda, legal standards principal at Co-op Legal Services, said: “Here at Co-op Legal Services, we are committed to ensuring that as many individuals as possible get the chance to start an extremely fulfilling legal career, regardless of their background.
“Our legal apprenticeships enable us to provide this opportunity by establishing new and alternative routes into the profession, which are less of a financial burden than traditional university education.”
