OneAdvanced, a leading software provider, has announced a reduction in its gender pay gap from 11.4% in 2022 to 6.2% this year. This development is part of the company’s focused efforts to address systemic issues contributing to the pay disparity.
Katie Obi, Chief People Officer at OneAdvanced, commented on the improvement: “I’m really pleased to see a sizeable reduction in our gender pay gap over the last year. Gender pay gaps are a consequence of numerous wider factors and we have worked hard to proactively address these issues, so it’s really encouraging to see that our initiatives are delivering results.”
The company has introduced significant changes including a rebranding to OneAdvanced and launching sector-specific software portfolios. Alongside these changes, the firm revamped its Employee Value Proposition, emphasising empowerment, career growth, inclusion, and the impact of their work on customers.
Additionally, OneAdvanced has been voluntarily reporting on its diversity pay gaps concerning ethnicity, disability, and sexual orientation for four years, which informs its strategic approach to diversity.
Obi further stated: “The business works hard at creating an inclusive and fair place for women. We have developed inclusion initiatives such as a menopause policy, a flexible working approach, and have been named an endometriosis-friendly employer by Endometriosis UK. Our Women’s Network is highly active and closely involved in policy development to inform the business’ working practices and ensure they provide for an equitable place of work.”
The company’s efforts in fostering an inclusive workplace have recently been recognised in LinkedIn’s top 15 midsized UK businesses ranking, highlighting its appeal as a place to work.
UK legislation requires businesses with more than 250 employees to report their gender pay gap figures annually.
