Ryan FowlerA1 Group has rolled out Ctrack’s AI-powered video telematics and Progressive Safe System (PSS) across its commercial fleet to meet its safety and Direct Vision Standard (DVS) obligations.
The implementation follows a successful pilot earlier this year that led to a 40% reduction in driver distraction events.
The Hampshire-based waste management, car spares and transport specialist is now fitting the solution to 110 vehicles.
The AI dashcam combines forward- and driver-facing cameras to detect and alert operators to high-risk behaviours such as mobile phone use, eating, smoking, or driver fatigue.
It also provides real-time insights to improve road safety and operational visibility.

Vehicles over 12 tonnes operating in London have also been equipped with Ctrack’s AI-based PSS to ensure compliance with the 2024 DVS requirements. This includes enhanced detection of vulnerable road users and improved blind spot visibility.
