Macclesfield FC have confirmed the return of Jimmy Holmes as head of recruitment, bringing experience from both EFL and non-league levels.

He previously worked at Morecambe and Manchester City before joining Macclesfield FC in November 2021, handling recruitment for the club’s first three seasons after reform and making several signings.

After leaving the Leasing.com Stadium, Holmes worked at Bury and South Shields.

He adds knowledge to the Silkmen’s recruitment setup and his contacts in the game are expected to help as Macclesfield FC look to move up the Enterprise National League North.
