Pension Lab has introduced updates to simplify the process for clients signing Letters of Authority (LoAs).
The update means that firms that previously sent login links will now use a QR code or link instead.
When clients click it, they will enter a four-digit code, with no need for accounts or passwords.
This follows confirmation that Standard Life now accepts Pension Lab’s digital signatures.
Amanda Hall, head of operational strategy at Pension Lab, said: “We’re now on Standard Life’s approved list of digital e-signature providers.
“This means LoAs with their cryptographic timestamped digital certificates can be processed faster and more smoothly.”
They added that they are working with more providers and platforms to continue improving the LoA process.
