Ciceley Commercials Ltd is set to create around 40 new jobs with the development of a brand-new £8m Mercedes-Benz Truck & Bus dealership at Eurocentral, Scotland — the company’s first major site north of the border.
The investment marks a significant milestone for the family-run business, which has been supporting UK truck operators for more than 50 years.
Construction will begin shortly, with a temporary workshop opening mid-2026 for essential servicing and maintenance before the main dealership opens in autumn 2026.
Located on a 4.75-acre plot, the Eurocentral site will feature 12 work bays, an Authorised Testing Facility (ATF) lane, and full sales, servicing, and parts facilities for Mercedes-Benz trucks, as well as service and parts support for Mercedes-Benz buses.
Ciceley has appointed Clark Contracts as the main contractor, a Scottish construction firm; the partnership is expected to boost local employment, with opportunities spanning engineering, service, parts, sales, and administration roles.
Michael Scanlan, director at Clark Contracts, said: “We’re delighted to have been appointed to deliver this project for Ciceley Commercials and look forward to collaborating with our new client and the wider design team as work gets underway on site.”
The expansion will extend Ciceley’s reach into Scotland while continuing its long-standing commitment to customer service and staff development.
Andy Heys, dealer principal at Ciceley Commercials, said: “This is an exciting chapter for Ciceley as we grow our footprint into Scotland. Creating 40 new jobs in the region is a source of real pride for us.
“We’ve always been a people-first business — investing in our team and developing talent from within — so to bring those opportunities to new communities is a major milestone.”
Founded in the early 1970s by Brian Morgan, Ciceley has evolved from a small truck repair operation in Blackburn to one of the UK’s leading Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle dealers.
The business remains family-owned, with Brian, now 93, still involved, alongside his son Russell Morgan, chairman, and grandsons Adam and Sam Morgan, who manage day-to-day operations.
Daimler Truck UK has welcomed the new site as a key step in strengthening the Mercedes-Benz network across Scotland.
Leonhard Niemann, head of dealer network development at Daimler Truck UK, said: “Ciceley’s investment at Eurocentral is a significant boost for the Scottish economy and for our customers.
“The creation of new jobs and expanded local expertise reinforces the strength of our network and ensures operators receive the exceptional service Mercedes-Benz is known for.”
Sales and marketing director Stuart Jeggo added: “Expanding Ciceley Commercials into Scotland allows us to bring more career opportunities, training, and customer support to a vital region of the UK transport network. It’s an important investment in both people and infrastructure.”
Ciceley, which has previously been named Mercedes-Benz Truck Service Dealer of the Year and Truck Sales Team of the Year, said the new facility reflects its long-term commitment to growth, innovation, and the communities it serves.
Heys said: “This development is about more than a new building — it’s about creating opportunities, investing in people, and supporting Scotland’s commercial vehicle sector for years to come.”
