Canada Life appoints Dominic Carpenter to drive BPA commercial strategy

Canada Life has appointed Dominic Carpenter as commercial and strategy director, bulk purchase annuities (BPA). 

Carpenter will lead the commercial development of the bulk annuities business, focusing on commercial strategy, reinsurance and pricing to help Canada Life grow its BPA offer.

Carpenter joins from Phoenix Group, where he was group capital director. 

Before that, he spent a decade at Legal & General as group capital director and head of reinsurance & structuring for the BPA business.

Carpenter said: “I am thrilled to be joining Canada Life’s BPA team at this time of heightened strategic focus on the BPA market and relish the opportunity to further develop its market offering.
