Pinsent Masons has appointed Anna Taylor as a pensions partner in its finance and projects team in London.

Taylor has more than 20 years’ experience advising companies, investors, lenders, and trustees on UK pension schemes.

She joined from Taylor Wessing where she was a partner since 2021, after spending 11 years at Linklaters as managing associate and counsel.

Taylor is the fifth pensions partner to join Pinsent Masons since 2023, following Ian Mylrea in Manchester, Amie Bain in Glasgow, Andy Wright in Leeds, and Charlotte Scholes in London.

The firm has expanded its pensions team to strengthen its position advising trustees, master trusts, pension providers, and employers on all areas of pensions.

Taylor said: “There are many challenges facing the pensions industry and I am looking forward to helping clients overcome these with the team at Pinsent Masons.”

Stephen Scholefield, head of pensions & long-term savings at Pinsent Masons, said: “Anna has a considerable amount of impressive experience working with trustees and master trusts, particularly in pension scheme derisking, and will be a fantastic addition to the team.

“Anna brings our pension partner headcount up to twenty-one and strengthens our capabilities to handle complex mandates, which is particularly important now as we are going through a period of great change in UK pensions.

“Her appointment will bring great value to our clients looking to navigate through old and new requirements.”
