Data revealed that many UK businesses have found it harder to keep security tight since hybrid working and changing office attendance became normal.

The new qualification, which updates safety-critical skills, will be available from 1st October 2025 and will become mandatory for all renewals from 1st April 2026.

The move has been designed to protect workers in the sector by ensuring that licence-linked qualifications are credible and consistent across the industry.

The deal will see Mitie’s security staff working at jobcentres, ensuring safety for employees and visitors.

The recognition agreement covers around 20 workers providing security services on site for EnQuest.
