Scottish Widows found that 41% of over-50s who are still working have little or no understanding of the different ways they can access their pension savings.
42% were comfortable using AI to explain pension jargon, while 37% would use it to calculate how much they needed for retirement.
Nearly half (45%) of SME owners had never sought advice about business protection, while 94% said their business relied on more than one key individual.
The Scottish Widows study showed that if minimum contribution rates went up in future, 34% of workers would put in 6-8% of their salary and 20% would pay 8-10%.
The new tracing tool, developed with The Pension Lab, will help people track down lost pension pots from old employers and, if they want, merge their pension plans.
Three in 10 adults have seen their work affected by health issues in the past five years, with 10% stopping work altogether.
