Gen Z seeks mental health support twice the rate of Millennials, RedArc finds
Data from the nurse-led support organisation showed that 43% of Gen Z referrals from working-age people between 2021 and 2025 were for mental health concerns.

Data from the nurse-led support organisation showed that 43% of Gen Z referrals from working-age people between 2021 and 2025 were for mental health concerns.

The findings relate to individuals supported during 2025 through employer-provided or insurer-backed services, all of whom were living with complex and significant health conditions.
The organisation also noted that addressing non-clinical matters was as crucial as tackling the main health problem.
RedArc called for insurers to work with third-party specialists to provide good quality grief support.

RedArc has highlighted the growing strain on mental health caused by modern-day pressures such as heavy workloads, family demands, social media, and global uncertainty.

The organisation said that depression and mood disorders, PTSD and trauma, eating disorders and psychotic disorders collectively made up the remaining referrals.
For those who had been claiming for less than three months, this figure rose to 79%.
New data from RedArc shows that nearly all policyholders develop a more favourable view of their insurer after receiving practical or emotional support for health, trauma or bereavement.

Nurse-led support provider RedArc reports a sharp rise in neurodiversity-related referrals, highlighting growing awareness and a lack of mainstream access.

According to RedArc, no two cancer journeys are identical, and the experience of an individual can vary daily depending on their diagnosis.
