According to the latest UK Report on Jobs survey from KPMG and REC, the drop in permanent placements was the smallest since March 2023.

UK recruitment activity slowed again in May, with permanent hiring down and candidate supply rising sharply, according to the latest KPMG and REC report.

APSCo data shows growing demand for contract roles, while permanent hiring shows signs of stabilising.
