In its latest UK Benefits and Trends Survey, 41% of HR and benefits professionals said their company already had a formal health and wellbeing strategy.

The partnership will allow businesses to offer employees access to Emerald’s platform, which helps users spot early health risks and provides ongoing private GP support.

Kevin Heath said: “We are proud to be rolling this out nationwide, to promote early detection and do our part in helping to improve the heart health of thousands of people across the UK."

The pilots will trial personalised ‘stay in work’ and ‘return to work’ plans for workers who fall ill, offering support through clinical and non-clinical practitioners.

The study found 52% of workers reported physical health problems linked to their job, while 41% said their mental health was also affected.

Cancer claims among employees under 40 went up by 36% between 2024 and 2025.
The organisation also noted that addressing non-clinical matters was as crucial as tackling the main health problem.

Steve McIntosh said: “These resources support organisations to create workplaces where people feel valued, safe, and able to thrive in the flow of their everyday work.”
Staff shared these concerns, with 25% of workers over 60 and 15% of all ages saying they were worried about serious ill-health such as cancer.
