The ‘Never Mind the Gap’ scheme, run with Women in Rail, gave a small group free training and placements to learn about roles in the industry.

Just 6% of FTSE 100 Chairs and 13% of S&P 100 Chairs are from ethnically diverse backgrounds, according to new analysis from INvolve.

The survey found over a third of respondents (35%) experienced social exclusion or hostility from colleagues or management due to their beliefs.

Newcastle City Council commissioned Northumbria University to develop a ‘train the trainer’ course aimed at helping public health workers better understand stigma and its effects.

The funding is part of the Government’s broader “Get Britain Working” initiative, which aims to overhaul the employment support system, modernise Jobcentres, and ensure well-paid job opportunities are available across the country.

The survey will look at job satisfaction, career development, sector challenges, diversity and inclusion, and what young workers want to see in the years ahead.
The aim is to provide insight into real workplace experiences, not just headline demographics, and to support practical change in the sector.

The initiative has been designed to help individuals from diverse backgrounds establish themselves in the venture capital sector and grow the next generation of UK businesses.
