
MPs face same sleep struggles as night shift workers, survey finds

The organisation ranked 20th out of 50 in the ‘super large’ category.

63% of workers thought too much responsibility was being placed on employees when it came to workplace safety and wellbeing.

With more than 70 indicators and a focus on internal culture, the report included a participatory process involving more than 50 employees and 100 cross-functional sessions.

A survey by WorkNest found that 43% of employers and HR professionals said fear of confrontation or escalation is the single biggest barrier to resolving disputes early.

The research found 76% reported a negative impact on wellbeing and 51% said they were more stressed now compared to when they started their business.

53% of those surveyed saw an increase in burnout, stress or wellbeing issues in the last year, with high workloads and tight deadlines named as the main reasons.

Deborah Garlick said: “They are not only supporting their own colleagues – they are helping shape the future of menopause support across the emergency services.”

The awards recognised 789 organisations from 45 countries for their efforts in preventing workplace injuries and work-related ill health in 2024.

The aim is to help companies understand and put psychological safety into action at work.

Data revealed that workplace violence was found in all industries examined, from finance to construction to the arts.

The accolade reflects the company’s reputation for providing a workplace culture centred on employee wellbeing, inclusion and work-life balance.
