Chris Britton, people experience director at Reward Gateway | Edenred, said: “Being an inclusive workplace is not just about having a non-discriminatory workplace environment, or meeting diversity targets.

“It’s about fostering an inclusive culture where people feel comfortable, valued and empowered – which does not happen overnight, or just one week a year.

“By consistently demonstrating, and not just saying, inclusivity is a core part of your ethos, businesses stand to benefit from strengthened trust from employees.”

Britton added: “Providing adequate people management training is one way of doing this, giving them the tools and skills they need to support employees, both from a business perspective and a wellbeing one.”
