Simplyhealth has won the Best Trained Workforce (Menopause) award at the Henpicked Menopause and Menstruation Friendly Employer Awards 2026.

The award recognised its training for staff and managers on supporting employees experiencing menopause.

A staff survey found 89% believed Simplyhealth had created a culture where menopause could be discussed openly, while 96% of managers felt confident supporting affected employees.

Angela Sherwood, chief people officer at Simplyhealth, said: “We are incredibly proud to receive the Best Trained Workforce award.

“Menopause affects everyone differently, and creating a truly supportive workplace means ensuring colleagues and managers have the confidence and understanding to have meaningful conversations and provide the right support when it is needed.

“This recognition reflects the commitment of our colleagues, Menopause Champions and Menopause Support Group, who have helped us create a culture where menopause can be discussed openly and support is accessible.”

Sherwood added: “Our Access Gap research highlights the barriers many people experiencing menopause continue to face in accessing healthcare and support, reinforcing the important role employers can play in helping people thrive at every life stage.”
