HSBC has set out plans to offer 1,500 early-career opportunities across the UK in 2026 and 2027.

The bank plans to recruit 1,000 people through apprenticeships, graduate programmes and internships.

It also plans to provide 500 in-person, one-week work experience placements for secondary school students.

The placements will combine workplace learning with activities focused on communication, teamwork and confidence.

Students will also learn about digital technology and how employees use artificial intelligence (AI) tools.
