“It’s great that employers are seeing advantages across the business in terms of productivity, recruitment and retention, loyalty and engagement, and more.

“But more companies should be seeing these advantages.”

Everywhen said businesses that did not see benefits may have offered the wrong support for their workforce or failed to communicate it effectively.

It said employers should ask staff what support they wanted, provide a broad range of benefits and assess which services were used.

The company also stated that some businesses may not have measured take-up and outcomes effectively, making it harder to assess value.

Williams said: “Things are definitely going in the right direction but ALL businesses and their employees should be benefiting from the health and wellbeing support on offer.

“If they are not, it would be wise to take advice on what changes could be made to the offering and how best to communicate the provision and boost engagement.”
