Evri and GMB have agreed a 2-year deal that will guarantee eligible self-employed couriers a minimum equivalent hourly rate of £15 nationally and £15.80 in London.

The guaranteed rate was a minimum and not an earnings cap.

Eligible couriers will also receive protection for existing earnings and rates until April 2028.

Eligible Evri Plus couriers will receive improved holiday benefits, with regular couriers gaining between three and six additional days.

The deal also includes one-off payments of up to £1,250 and more opportunities for couriers to join the Evri Plus programme.

An Evri spokesperson said: “This agreement reflects a shared commitment to protecting and improving courier earnings while delivering greater certainty through the first two-year deal in our history.

“We are proud to have reached a deal that delivers increased earnings opportunities, enhanced benefits, and strengthened earnings protections.
