Automotive industry charity Ben has called on businesses and individuals to support its Christmas fundraising campaign following a rise in demand for its services.
From April to June, the charity recorded 3,463 helpline touchpoints, an 8% increase year on year, while the number of support interventions rose by 24% to 2,050.
Ben is encouraging automotive businesses to take part in its Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 11th December, although participants can choose another day during the month.
Businesses, teams and individuals are asked to donate £3 per person taking part.
The charity is also selling its annual Christmas cards, which have featured motoring artwork by automotive artist Richard Wheatland for 37 years.
The 2026 collection includes seven designs, comprising the new Winter Service illustration and six designs from previous years. A range of Christmas gifts is also available.
Money raised through the activities will help Ben provide practical, emotional and financial support to people who work or have worked in the UK automotive industry and their families.
Luke Genevrier-Mallett, director of fundraising & engagement at Ben, said: “Christmas is the ideal opportunity for our automotive family to come together and have some fun while also making a real difference to people’s lives.
