Arnold Clark Group to offer health screening plan to staff

The Arnold Clark Group has entered into a three-year agreement with medical diagnostics company EDX Medical Group.

The Arnold Clark Group will be offering a free health screening programme to employees with more than two years’ service.

The Arnold Clark Group has entered into a three-year agreement with medical diagnostics company, EDX Medical Group, to undertake health testing at Arnold Clark premises.

The Arnold Clark Group employs 11,600 people across 200 locations in the UK.

EDX Medical has been contracted to provide a service that includes the deployment of its proprietary biomarker testing panels which have been developed to cover more than 220 disease conditions and can determine risk and detect early signs of cancer, cardiovascular disease and metabolic disorders as well as many others.

The service also includes general health checks.

Employee participation is voluntary and involves the provision of blood samples to the EDX Medical team which will undertake testing sessions from October this year.

Test results are confidential to the individual employee and will not be shared with the Company.

Results will be computed along with employee physical health and family history questionnaires to generate an assessment of an individual’s health status.

The Arnold Clark Group has estimated a high level of participation in the programme from eligible employees and EDX Medical expects the agreement to generate annual revenues of between £1.4m and £1.6m.
