50skills raises $6m to expand AI-powered HR platform

HR technology firm 50skills has raised $6m in funding to support the expansion of its AI-powered people workflow platform.
The funding round was co-led by Frumtak Ventures, Swiss Post Ventures, Avant and DRD Investments.
50skills said the investment would be used to accelerate hiring across sales, marketing and community, as well as further develop its platform and artificial intelligence (AI) agents.
The platform allows HR teams to describe a people process in plain language before creating a workflow connected to an organisation’s existing systems.
Automation is used for predictable tasks, while AI agents can handle processes requiring interpretation, with human oversight retained for decisions requiring judgement.
According to 50skills, more than four million actions have been completed through the platform over the past 12 months by HR teams across the Nordics and UK.
The company said Icelandair had digitised more than 20 HR workflows through the platform, while Air Atlanta had saved 50 hours a week through the automation of visa processing.
Kristján Freyr Kristjánsson, co-founder and CEO at 50skills, said: “AI is changing how organisations create value. Our job is to make that practical for the teams responsible for people.
