15% of workers would call in sick to play GTA 6, research finds

15% of workers said they would call in sick to play GTA 6 if they were unable to book leave, research from One Day Agency found.

However, 30% said they would be unlikely to do so, 51% did not expect to play the game and 4% were unsure.

Only 2% said calling in sick formed part of their expected plans for release day.

12% expect to avoid other plans around the release, while 8% plan to change their working hours.

7% plan to book release day off, 6% expect to change or swap a shift and 4% plan to take several days off.

3% expect to work from home, while 75% do not plan to take any of the listed actions.

One in five said they would play GTA 6 during normal working hours if they were working from home on release day. 

This included 7% who definitely would and 13% who probably would.
