Six in 10 asset managers say AI will improve job security, research finds
Almost half (45%) of respondents said the technology was saving them between one and two hours each week, while 16% reported savings of between three and four hours.
More than six in 10 asset management executives believe artificial intelligence (AI) will make their jobs more secure, according to research from Clearwater Analytics.
The research, which surveyed senior executives across asset management firms including insurance asset managers, hedge funds, private markets specialists and general asset managers, found that 61% expected AI to increase their job security.
However, 28% believed the technology would reduce job security, while 1% expected AI to replace their role completely.
The findings also indicated that AI is already delivering time savings for asset managers.
Almost half (45%) of respondents said the technology was saving them between one and two hours each week, while 16% reported savings of between three and four hours.
A third said AI saved them between 31 and 59 minutes per week, while 6% reported savings of up to 30 minutes.
Asset management firms are also investing in preparing employees to work alongside the technology, with seven in 10 providing AI literacy and awareness training.
Almost two-thirds (63%) are investing in internal mobility and redeployment pathways, while 49% are redesigning roles to integrate human and AI collaboration.
