Lumera will continue supporting selected communications for NHS Pension Scheme members under an extended agreement with the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC).
The agreement will see the insurtech company continue its work through to March 2027, collaborating with NHS Pensions, which leads communications for the scheme.
Lumera provides behavioural science, data-driven communications design and regulatory communications expertise to support NHS Pensions with complex areas of member engagement, including communications relating to the McCloud Remedy.
The NHS Pension Scheme has 3.86 million members, making it one of the UK’s largest public sector pension schemes.
Lumera’s work focuses on specific communications challenges, with the aim of making technical pension information tailored to members’ individual circumstances.
Claire Hovey (pictured), director of behavioural science at Lumera, said: “We are pleased to continue supporting NHS Pensions on specific challenges where clear, personalised communication at the moment of a complex pension decision can make a meaningful difference to members’ understanding.
“Our role is to combine behavioural science and data-driven comms design to make sure members receive information that is technically robust while being genuinely useable, supporting confident financial decisions – particularly in areas where members may face complex or unfamiliar choices, including the McCloud Remedy.”
