London Borough of Harrow secures £1.4m to launch London Talent Pathways

London Borough of Harrow has secured a £1.4m investment to launch London Talent Pathways (LTP), a new programme to help residents gain skills, qualifications and jobs.

The training covers health and social care, finance and professional business services, and education. 

Courses are aimed at people looking for their first job, those returning to work, changing careers, or wanting to progress in their current role.

Councillor Chetna Halai, Cabinet Member for Business and Property at London Borough of Harrow, said: “This is about opening doors for Harrow residents. London Talent Pathways will help people gain the skills, qualifications and confidence to move into work, progress in their careers and access real opportunities with local employers. 

“This is one of many ways we’re putting residents first and we’ll continue to look at ways to open new opportunities.”

Learners who complete the training will get guaranteed job interviews with employer partners. 

The programme will offer industry-recognised qualifications from Level 1 upwards. 

Evening courses will be available for those who are already working and want to upskill.
