Isio has acquired Trafalgar House Pensions Administration (THPA) to grow its pensions administration business and strengthen its service to trustees, sponsors and members.

The deal brings together two established pensions administration teams and is part of Isio’s ongoing growth strategy.

Dan Thomas, incoming chief executive at Isio, said: “Isio’s growth strategy has always been underpinned by a desire to challenge the status quo, deliver genuine innovation, and expand the breadth of offerings we bring to the market.

“This acquisition marks the next major step in Isio’s evolution and I am delighted to be joining the business at a time of such transformation.

“While we continue to invest heavily in our broader diversification strategies across wealth and employee benefits, this transaction demonstrates Isio’s ongoing commitment to the core part of our business.”

Thomas added: “Pensions administration remains foundational to Isio, and THPA is quite simply a fantastic organisation to combine with Isio’s existing business, under Kevin Howard’s leadership.

“By combining THPA’s exceptional reputation in handling larger, typically more complex schemes combined with Isio’s existing national footprint and multi-disciplinary capabilities, we are uniquely positioned to define what the future of pensions administration looks like.

“This milestone not only expands our operational capabilities but significantly enhances the value, technology, and specialist services we can provide to clients and their members across the entire industry.”

Howard added: “THPA is a business we have admired for some time.

“It has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality administration services and, importantly, shares our ethos of supporting the person behind the transaction.

“Just as importantly, this acquisition brings together two teams with complementary strengths.”

He said: “We are committed to investing in our administration business and creating the capabilities, technology and services that clients will need in the years ahead, while giving our talented, enlarged team the opportunity to continue to develop their careers.”

“We have long admired Isio’s progressive approach, and bringing together our highly complementary capabilities allows us to create a true market-leading proposition.

“This partnership provides us with the scale and robust institutional backing required to accelerate our investment in technology, bringing a broader, more multidisciplinary range of services to the market while continuing to provide the depth of expertise and quality of service that clients and their members rely on.”

Wake added: “I am incredibly excited about the future opportunities this creates for our talented teams to collaborate, innovate, and define what the administration service of the future looks like.”

Raj Mody, chair of Trafalgar House Trustees Limited, said: “We are grateful for the solid and consistent service which THPA has provided members of the Trafalgar House Pension Trust over many years.
