GRiD launches six-session training course for group risk insurance
The sessions, each lasting 60 minutes, covers products, legislation, tax, trusts, pricing, underwriting, embedded services and market reviews.
Experts at GRiD will run a six-session ‘Introduction to Group Risk Insurance’ training course for employees new to group risk or working in related areas like general insurance, healthcare or pensions.
The course includes six live, online lunch-and-learn sessions, each lasting 60 minutes, covering products, legislation, tax, trusts, pricing, underwriting, embedded services and market reviews.
The course is free to GRiD members and starts on 3rd September.
Employees can earn up to six hours of continued professional development (CPD), with a CPD certificate for every session attended.
Organisations have until 28th August to join if they want their staff to take part, with no limit on the number of delegates from a single member firm.
Sessions will be recorded and available for catch-up on the GRiD website.
Katharine Moxham, spokesperson for GRiD, said: “This is a really beneficial foundation-level course for anyone starting out in group risk, and for those for whom it isn’t a core area of their role.
“This course gives attendees a broad understanding of the industry, helping them to see how their role, their organisation, and their day-to-day responsibilities fit into the wider group risk ecosystem.”
