Nominations have opened for the 2027 everywoman in Technology Awards, with women across the technology sector invited to enter until 26th October.

Now in its 17th year, the awards recognise women at all stages of their careers, from apprentices through to senior leaders, while aiming to provide role models for women considering careers in technology.

Entries are open to women working in technology roles across a range of sectors, with previous winners coming from organisations including Barclays, Booking.com, Tesco and Imperial College London.

Categories for 2027 include AI Champion, Apprentice, CTO/CIO of the Year, Cyber Security, Digital Star, Digital Transformation Leader, Entrepreneur, Innovator, Leader, One to Watch, Rising Star, Software Engineer, Team Leader, Tech for Good and Woman of the Year. The programme also includes a Male Agent of Change Award.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in London in March 2027.

The programme comes amid concerns about the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on women’s employment prospects, alongside continued underrepresentation of women in technology roles.

According to figures cited by everywoman, AI could reduce the UK’s administrative and clerical workforce by around 119,000 people by 2035, with women disproportionately represented in these roles.

At the same time, businesses are facing shortages of workers with digital skills, creating opportunities for more women to move into technology-focused careers.

The digital talent gap could cost the UK economy around £10.8bn between 2024 and 2035, alongside £3.3bn in associated profits, according to the figures.

Women also accounted for 20% of UK AI roles among surveyed organisations in 2025, down four percentage points from 2020.

Nicole Goodwin and Sophie Catto, joint managing directors of AllBright everywoman, said: “AI is rapidly redefining how we live and it’s vital that women play a defining role in shaping how these technologies are developed and adopted.

“Yet at a moment when the sector needs more of their judgement and input, women are becoming less visible in the sector.

“The everywoman in Technology Awards not only celebrate the achievements of women who are driving transformative change in this diverse industry but gives them a platform to inspire the next generation of women in STEM so that more women will play a role in defining our intelligent future.”
