Companies shift to year-round workplace gatherings, research finds
The research from Tagvenue found networking, training and workshop enquiries grew more than twice as fast as Christmas party bookings.
Companies are no longer waiting until December to bring employees together, according to the latest Work Social Index from Tagvenue.
The research found networking, training and workshop enquiries grew more than twice as fast as Christmas party bookings.
Corporate enquiries for networking events increased by 95%, training sessions by 78% and workshops by 70% since 2024.
Christmas party enquiries grew by 32% in the same period.
Artur Stepaniak, co-founder of Tagvenue, said: “For years, the Christmas party was the defining moment of the workplace social calendar.
“It was the occasion everyone waited for – a chance to celebrate the year and spend time together away from the day-to-day pressures of work.
“That hasn’t disappeared, but the way companies bring people together has changed.”
Stepaniak added: “We’re seeing more smaller gatherings happening throughout the year, whether that’s a team social, workshop, training day or networking event.
