Milton Keynes City Council has invested £410,000 in MK College to provide specialist training for adults in health and social care, construction, logistics and creative industries.

The courses will start in September and are aimed at giving residents industry-specific skills, access to further education and better job prospects.

The investment is part of £1.04m awarded to the council from the Government’s Adult Skills Fund.

Councillor Peter Cannon, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People at Milton Keynes CIty Council, said: “Our adult learning team plays a vital role in helping residents gain new skills and improve their career prospects.
