He brings over 20 years’ experience leading people strategy, culture transformation and organisational development across large charities in the UK.
De Souza joins from Samaritans and before that he spent five years as people engagement director at the National Trust.
De Souza said: “Macmillan exists to make sure no one faces cancer alone. That’s a purpose worth showing up for.
“I’m joining at a moment when the people and culture agenda really matters and I’m looking forward to working with colleagues across the organisation to make Macmillan a great place to work, and through that, to do even more for people with cancer.”
Gemma Peters, CEO of Macmillan Cancer Support, said: “I’ve admired Tiger’s work for some time.
“He has a combination of deep expertise in people and culture, alongside a strong track record as a strategic leader who has a real understanding of what it takes to create a culture where people thrive.
“But what excites me most is the broader contribution he’ll make to Macmillan.”
