Half of Brits do not offer cold drinks to tradespeople amid rising temperatures, data finds

More than half of Brits would not offer tradespeople a cold drink when doing jobs at their homes, according to research from MyBuilder.com.

53% would not offer any refreshment, even as temperatures are expected to top 30 degrees in the coming weeks.

53% of women said they would offer a cold drink, compared to only 41% of men.

More than half of homeowners said they would offer a tea or coffee, at 56%, while 17% would go as far as offering an ice cream when it is warm. 

The survey also showed 34% of Brits said they do not let tradespeople use their toilet. 

Further gender split was found here, as 71% of women said they would, compared to 63% of men.

“While many bring their own water, they’re often working away from easy access to kitchens or other facilities, so a simple gesture like offering a cold drink can make a long, hot day a little easier.
