Broadstone advises STS Field Grant Limited Pension Scheme on £5m full scheme buy-in with Aviva
The deal, completed in June 2026, secures the benefits of all 48 scheme members, including 14 deferred and 34 pensioner members.
Broadstone has advised the STS Field Grant Limited Pension Scheme on a £5m full scheme buy-in with Aviva.
The deal, completed in June 2026, secures the benefits of all 48 scheme members, including 14 deferred and 34 pensioner members.
The buy-in covers all scheme liabilities and used the existing assets of the scheme, with full backing from Key Technologies Limited, the scheme’s sponsor.
Broadstone used its SM&RT Insure process to prepare the scheme, allowing trustees to attract interest from multiple insurers before choosing Aviva’s streamlined service, Clarity.
Broadstone provided annuity broking, actuarial, investment consultancy and scheme administration services.
Legal advice to the trustees came from TLT LLP, while Aviva used in-house legal support.
Bob Jenkinson, deal lead at Broadstone, said: “Despite the perception of a limited market for small schemes like the STS Scheme, the SM&RT process has again delivered choice and flexibility.
“This enabled the trustees to secure their members’ benefits with an insurer that best met their needs and at a competitive price.”
