Amey rolls out engineering recruitment drive

Amey is set to recruit around 600 professionals over the next 18 months to support growth in its transport, energy and nuclear work. 

The drive will boost engineering capacity in the consulting business and help deliver more projects as clients look for support on complex programmes.

The first stage will target about 200 new hires in 2026, with jobs across the UK in roles covering technical, engineering, project delivery and specialist areas. 

These new jobs will support expected demand in areas such as highways, energy and nuclear, with the aim of bringing in more expertise for major projects and helping clients with long-term infrastructure challenges.

Amey will also take on another 100 engineering graduates and apprentices in September. 

The company said this is part of its work to develop future talent in the sector. 

Those joining through the early careers programme will work on live projects, with structured development, professional mentoring and the chance to gain skills, certifications and experience.
