Vistry inspires future talent at Women in Construction 2026 event in Lambeth

Vistry has held its second Women in Construction event at Lambeth Town Hall, bringing together more than 150 local residents, partners and industry leaders to support inclusion and careers in construction. 

The event, delivered through Countryside Partnerships, gave attendees the chance to meet 20 employers and partners, with practical advice on career routes from site work to roles in planning, sustainability and community engagement.

It was run with support from Be Lambeth, Peabody and Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing, focusing on how construction can create jobs, develop skills and deliver lasting value in local communities. 

Panel discussions covered topics like social value, local job creation, skills development, diversity in the industry and building inclusive workplaces.

Sessions included real stories from people who have started careers in construction through previous programmes.
