NAPA Auto Parts backs Race Against Dementia through new charity partnership

NAPA Auto Parts has announced its support for Race Against Dementia through its title sponsorship of NAPA Racing UK, launching a fundraising initiative to help accelerate research into the prevention and treatment of dementia.

Race Against Dementia, founded by Sir Jackie Stewart OBE, applies the high-performance principles of Formula 1 to medical research, funding scientists working to speed up progress towards preventing and curing dementia.

As part of the partnership, employees from across the NAPA Auto Parts network will collectively run more than 1,082 miles, the equivalent distance from Penzance to Aberdeen.

The virtual route will travel through Wales, Ireland, Northern Ireland and finish at Knockhill Racing Circuit in Scotland ahead of the British Touring Car Championship weekend on 8th and 9th August.

The company said the challenge reflects its presence across the UK and Ireland while bringing together colleagues to raise money for dementia research through teamwork and collective effort. Employees will combine their individual distances as part of a single nationwide fundraising campaign.

Supporters can contribute to the initiative through NAPA Racing UK’s official JustGiving fundraising page, with all donations going towards Race Against Dementia’s work to accelerate scientific research.
