Kier appoints Niki Steel as chief human resources officer
Steel will join Kier in August 2026 and will play a key leadership role supporting the group’s 10,000 employees.

Kier, an infrastructure services, construction and property group, has appointed Niki Steel (pictured) to its executive committee as chief human resources (HR) officer.
Steel joins from IMI plc, where she was chief people officer for sector operations.
She has over 20 years’ experience across several industries including home technology, digital education media and visual effects, having worked for Pearson plc and Dyson Group plc.
Steel will join Kier in August 2026 and will play a key leadership role supporting the group’s 10,000 employees.
