Halo appoints Jennifer Liston-Smith to board as chief purpose officer

Workplace nursery platform Halo Workplace Nurseries has appointed Jennifer Liston-Smith as chief purpose officer and a member of its board.

The appointment adds more than 20 years of experience in family support, coaching and workplace consultancy to the Edinburgh-based company.

Halo’s platform enables employers to operate nursery partnerships while maintaining compliance with legislation and HMRC requirements relating to tax-exempt employee childcare.

Anna Semple, chief executive officer at Halo, said: “Jennifer brings the ideal skillset with her deep experience in the needs of both employers and employees, her astute understanding of legislation and her values around business as a force for good.

Liston-Smith joins the business after senior roles at My Family Care and Bright Horizons, where she led coaching, consultancy and thought leadership programmes focused on working parents and carers.

She has advised a number of major employers on family support strategies and combines a background in law and psychology, holding an Oxford law degree and a master’s degree in psychology.
