Coventry Building Society has been named as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing 2026 by workplace culture organisation Great Place To Work for the fifth consecutive year.

The annual list recognises organisations that prioritise employee wellbeing across areas including work-life balance and physical, mental and financial health. Coventry Building Society said the latest recognition follows continued investment in colleague support across the enlarged group, which now includes The Co-operative Bank following its acquisition in 2025.

The society said it has harmonised employee benefits across the combined organisation, resulting in 4,000 colleagues receiving increased holiday entitlement.

A further 2,000 employees have gained access to private medical insurance, including GP appointments and specialist care, while more than 2,000 colleagues now benefit from enhanced income protection. Employer pension contributions have also increased for 1,300 employees, alongside the introduction of additional support for women’s health and those affected by domestic abuse.

The organisation was again ranked among the UK’s top 50 super large organisations in the UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing 2026 list.

“This reflects the progress we’ve made in creating a more consistent and inclusive benefits offering, alongside enhancements to healthcare, leave and financial wellbeing support.

“By continuing to listen through our surveys and colleague forums, we’re focused on providing meaningful support where it matters most.”
