Central London Community Healthcare (CLCH) has appointed Ema Ojiako as chief people officer (CPO) following a formal recruitment process led by the board.

Ojiako brings extensive experience from NHS and independent healthcare organisations, having served as executive people director at Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board and held a senior HR role at NHS England.

She will be responsible for delivering the trust’s people strategy and improving the experience for colleagues across the organisation.

Ojiako said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining CLCH as Chief People Officer at such a pivotal time for the organisation.

“As the NHS delivers its 10 Year Health Plan and shifts towards prevention, neighbourhood health and stronger community-based care, supporting and empowering our workforce to deliver compassionate, high-quality services has never been more important and I feel privileged to play a part in helping the organisation achieve these ambitions.”

James Benson, CEO at CLCH, said: “I am delighted that Ema has been appointed as our Chief People Officer.

“She brings a wealth of experience across a range of healthcare organisations and will play a crucial role in empowering our colleagues to deliver high-quality, compassionate care that enables thriving communities.”

Ojiako will join the CLCH board in late June.
