Amiqus business manager receives MBE for work on diversity in the games industry

Liz Prince (pictured), business manager at Amiqus, has been recognised with an MBE in the King’s Birthday Honours for services to the games industry and championing inclusion and diversity. 

Prince has worked in recruitment for over 30 years, spending more than 20 years specialising in the games sector. 

At Amiqus, she has supported studios, publishers and games businesses in the UK and internationally, helping them find specialist talent and championing fairer hiring practices.

Prince set up ‘G Into Gaming’ in 2018 to recognise women working in games and to highlight efforts towards more inclusive workplaces. 

She is also co-founder of Empower Up, a platform created with Dom Shaw and trade body Ukie, which provides guidance, resources and signposting around equity, diversity, inclusion, hiring, leadership and workplace culture for studios and individuals across the industry.

Prince said: “I am incredibly honoured to receive this recognition. The games industry has been a huge part of my working life, and I care deeply about the people and businesses within it. 

“This honour reflects work that has always been collaborative. 

“G Into Gaming, Empower Up and the wider conversations around diversity and inclusion in games have involved so many people who have given their time, voices, ideas and support.”
