Virtual College has appointed Laura Cooper as marketing director, following 2.5 years with the business.
Cooper will lead the company’s marketing function as it expands its compliance training offering across key sectors, amid increasing regulatory pressure on organisations.
The appointment comes as training provision in the UK declines, creating a gap between compliance requirements and delivery, according to the company.
Laura Cooper, marketing director at Virtual College, said: “I’m delighted to step into the role of Marketing Director at Virtual College at an important time for the business.
“As organisations face increasing regulatory and safeguarding responsibilities, there is a growing need for accessible, high-quality compliance training that genuinely supports learners in real-world situations.
“I’m looking forward to building on the strong foundations already in place, strengthening our brand presence, and continuing to deliver impactful campaigns that highlight the necessity and accessibility of compliance across sectors.”
In her new role, Cooper will focus on raising awareness of compliance training as a core business priority, while strengthening relationships with customers and partners.
Judith Clarkson, UK corporate and operations director at Virtual College, said: “I’m positive Laura will continue to drive our marketing department going forwards.
“She is a highly accomplished marketeer with over 20 years of experience and has consistently demonstrated her ability to deliver high quality results.”
