Tandem Bank named among UK’s Best Workplaces 2026

Tandem Bank has been recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces 2026 by Great Place To Work, the global authority on workplace culture.

The Blackpool-headquartered challenger bank previously appeared in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work list in 2024 and 2025.

The bank was formally named on the list at the UK’s Best Workplaces Awards held at Grosvenor House in London.

Tandem, which employs more than 500 people across its headquarters in Blackpool and offices in Durham, Cardiff and London, ranked 99th in the Large Companies category and was one of seven organisations from the North West to appear in the list.

The recognition is based largely on confidential employee feedback collected through the Trust Index survey, which assesses employee experience, workplace culture and leadership practices.

Great Place To Work said only organisations achieving the highest overall scores from the survey and evaluation process are included in the rankings.

Tandem said its workplace culture focuses on inclusivity, learning and employee voice, with initiatives including Women in Leadership, Pride, Neurodivergence and Black History Month programmes.

The bank also runs a People Council, an employee-led forum that helps drive ESG and social impact initiatives, alongside activity focused on charity partnerships, health and wellbeing and sustainability.
