Online tutor tops highest-paying flexible jobs for parents list, finds CV-Library

CV-Library has released figures showing the highest-paying flexible jobs for parents, with online tutor at the top, offering earnings upwards of £49,400 per year. 

Virtual assistant roles are also in demand. 

Highly organised parents can earn up to £41,164 per year in these positions, which involve managing inboxes, booking meetings and coordinating schedules remotely.

Recruitment roles ranked third, with an average salary of £37,997. 

Other flexible jobs highlighted include social media manager, with an average salary of £36,343, travel consultant or agent at £32,598, and pet sitter, which pays around £27,724.

Katie Emerton, recruitment expert at CV-Library, said: “Sky-high childcare costs have forced around a quarter of a million mums out of full-time work according to research, but there’s a lifeline – flexible, work-from-home jobs. 

“Many don’t require a degree, allowing parents to turn their creativity, hobbies and passions into a fulfilling career, free from the 9-5 grind. 

“Whether it’s social media, tutoring or recruiting, parents can set their own hours, days worked, reduce commuting stress, and work around school runs, reclaiming work-life balance while earning an income that fits family life – especially important as we head into Easter – a time to be with the family.”
