Fair Work Agency Advisory Board appointed ahead of April launch

Ministers have named nine members to the first Fair Work Agency Advisory Board ahead of the Agency’s launch on 7th April. 

The board includes an equal split of independent, employer and trade union members. 

The aim is to make sure the Agency’s work is based on the experiences of businesses, workers and those affected by labour exploitation.

The new Agency will bring together several enforcement teams, including the gangmaster and labour abuse authority, director of labour market enforcement, employment agency standards inspectorate and HMRC’s national minimum wage unit. 

The advisory board will work with chair Matthew Taylor and CEO Lisa Pinney to give advice to ministers and set the Agency’s direction.

Independent members are Patricia Findlay, Gavin Kelly and Dora-Olivia Vicol. 

Employer members are Neil Carberry, Mustafa Faruqi and Joanne Young. 

Trade union members are Mike Clancy, Diana Holland and Dave Ward.
