Davanti Tyres has announced its support for the ‘Garage for Girls’ initiative, led by Isle of Man-based Island Tyres & Autocare, as the programme continues to attract strong demand from the local community.

The weekly workshop series, which launched in February, has reached 130 attendees to date and is now fully booked for the next three months.

The initiative was designed to provide women with practical vehicle maintenance skills, helping to build confidence and independence.

Participants are taught a range of basic car maintenance tasks, including topping up fluids, checking oil and changing a spare wheel, with the aim of demystifying routine vehicle care and enabling attendees to manage common issues.

Alongside its educational focus, the initiative also supports Victim Support Isle of Man.

While the workshops are free to attend, donations collected throughout the programme are directed to the charity.

As part of its involvement, Davanti Tyres has provided a free Glovebox Guide for attendees, offering step-by-step instructions for key maintenance tasks.

Participants also receive a 10% discount voucher for Island Tyres and a certificate of completion.

“It’s clear there’s a real need for this kind of practical, confidence-building workshop for women and we’re proud that it has gathered so much interest.

“We’re incredibly grateful for Davanti Tyres’ support and together, we’re not just teaching car maintenance; we’re fostering independence while supporting a local charity.”
